Karoo Tour

Day 1 - Still Bay to Calitzdorp

Guests are met at a location of their choice between Still Bay and George for an early start after they have had their breakfast. From here, we head for Mossel Bay and then over the famous Robinson's Pass where we enjoy a picnic lunch organised by Alice, then on to our first activity at a Private Nature Reserve where we will be guided by our host on a nature walk or ride on the back of his 4x4 and see some of the fantastic fauna and flora on his farm. Our host has a fantastic braai organised for us after which we head for our accommodation near Calitzdorp.

Day 2 - Calitzdorp to Oudtshoorn and back

We wake to see the beauty of the Hills and enjoy a sumptuous breakfast in this peaceful valley. We make our way to Oudtshoorn via the beautiful Schoemans Poort to the Cango Wildlife ranch where we enjoy the various animals and then enjoy a light lunch. From here, we go to our accomodation where we enjoy a Karoo sunset and a delicious meal in their dining room.

Day 3 - Calitzdorp to Still Bay via Seweweekspoort and Tradouw Pass

After a good breakfast, we leave Calitzdorp and head out through the awesome Huisrivier Pass to Seweweekspoort which is a spectacular drive through a gorge cutting through the awesome Swartberg mountain range which is about 20km long and winds its way between towering cliffs. We return through the gorge, stopping for refreshments and a leg stretch on the way. Lunch is enjoyed in Ladismith after which we proceed to Barrydale enjoying the Karoo scenery on the way. From here, it's through Tradouws Pass and back home to the pickup point.

R3,950.00 per person sharing based on 4 persons travelling together. Single Supplement Applies.

Our tours are private and are conducted for the party reserving the tour, unless otherwise arranged. We specialize in farm stays with home cooked meals where possible.
