Featherbed Nature Reserve Via The Lakes

We depart after breakfast and head for Knysna where we board the ferry at the waterfront. You can enjoy this scenic ferry trip across the lagoon. On arrival at Featherbed jetty we are met by our guide and taken to the road train that takes us through the reserve, stopping at places of interest on the way. Some of the best views of Knysna are from this wonderful trail.

On reaching the summit, you disembark and follow our guide on a walk back to the jetty and restaurant. On the way you may be able to spot some of the small game in the reserve. You will be sure to see the caves and also the petrified ship wreck in The Heads.

You can enjoy a wonderful lunch at the Featherbed Restaurant before we leave on the 14h00 ferry to the Knysna Waterfront. You will have about half an hour to do some shopping at the interesting shops here before we leave for our return trip travelling back via the lakes along the dirt road which is the more scenic route back to your accommodation.
